I have just finished programming a new OSX Dashboard Widget.  It checks the current pricing and availability for CCIE Routing and Switching, CCIE Security, CCIE Voice and CCIE Security racks.  The process for creating a widget is pretty straight forward.  The only part that wasn’t support out of the box was making AJAX calls to […]

It seems the rush of free iPhone applications is slowing.  Today, for example there were four applications released in the free section: Clowdy Photo Blogger, Vecka, Writing Pad, and Quitter.  However, there were eight new applications for the iPhone which cost money: eWallet, Jade, Kenkou, Moo Box, Shout It, Sketches, SuperPong, and Tiny Violin.   […]

#12 Leopard application of the day (Free)

#12. AppCleaner

Now that you have downloaded all of these applications you might want to delete one.  Perhaps, you didn’t like them as much as I did.  It happens.  To solve this the #12 application is to help remove unwanted programs.  Most Mac applications can be deleted by simply moving it to the trash can and clicking delete.  However, sometimes applications place files in other directories.  For example, “/Users/[name]/Library/Application Support/”.  It’s a time consuming process to go through each of these everytime you install a unwanted application.

So, to solve this problem there are a host of applications for unistalling applications.  Most of them cost money, and since we like cheap and free stuff, there is AppCleaner.

From the developers site:

AppCleaner is a small application which allows you to completely and properly uninstall unwanted apps.
It isn’t, in fact, sufficient to just delete an application. Installing an application distributes many files throughout your System using space of your Hard Drive unnecessarily.

AppCleaner can find all these small files and safely delete them.

Simply drop an application onto the AppCleaner icon and AppCleaner searches for the related files and you can delete them by clicking the delete button.
If you change your mind, just click on the cancel button.

Download Now.
